Edwardsburg, MI - The Edwardsburg Sports Complex, Inc. is proud to announce the official launch of their three million dollar project in the community of Edwardsburg.

Under the leadership of Ed Patzer, a group of community members have banded together to find a permanent home for area youth sports. The growth of the community and the Edwardsburg Public schools has created a critical need for designated sports fields.

Pledges of over 1.5 million dollars have been secured thus far for this existing project. This number includes one million dollars of an in kind donation from Marv and Barb Selge and Selge Construction. 102 acres of land along US 12 east of Edwardsburg has been purchased from Judy Padbury (The Wilkinson Farm Property) with a portion of land donated by Ms. Padbury. Chemical Bank has agreed to financing for the project.

Plans for the sports complex include football, baseball, softball, and soccer fields as well as a fitness trail and a sledding hill. Future plans may include basketball courts, volleyball courts, a swimming pool, Ice arena and an indoor recreational facility. The site location is close to the Edwardsburg school complex, the village and its ideal for families in Niles and Granger who come to Edwardsburg for youth sports.
