Michael "Mike" Urbanski was born in the South Bend, Mishawaka area, attending St. Hedwig Grade School and graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1963. Mike served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 until 1967, spending a portion of his time in Vietnam. In 1968, he married Gloria Van Wynsberghe in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Mike and Gloria are currently parishioners at St. Pius X Church. They are also the proud parents of three grown children.
Mike has been involved in the construction industry since the early 1970's. He began by working in roofing and odd jobs in the industry. In 1975 Mike went to work for Northern Indiana Insulation and in 1977 he purchased the company. There, Mike was involved with the new home industry as a sub-contractor until 1993 when he sold the company.
Mike has been with Garden Homes since 1993. In 1995 he shifted his focus to first time homebuyers in St. Joseph County and Elkhart County, Indiana and Berrien County, Michigan. He works with customers who want personal service throughout the home building process. Mike works with all of his customers from design through closing.
Urbanski has provided leadership to the local Michiana community as well as the building community in Northern Indiana.
